OISS is always looking for new ways to help international students learn about United States life and culture. Last year, we began a new monthly programming series entitled Life in the U.S.. Some of the topics covered last year included health care, immigration, safety, and friendship/dating. This year we are proud to continue the series with topics ranging from college sports to managing the “winter blues.”
Life in the U.S. events aim to bring campus experts to speak about issues that impact international students every day. We have been able to expand the size of our events and are excited to hear any suggestions you may have for future topics YOU want to learn more about!
As part of each Life in the U.S. event, OISS provides lunch and refreshments to those who register to attend. Make sure you keep an eye out for announcements regarding future Life in the U.S. events, because the registration list fills quickly!
Our next event is Life in the U.S. – College Sports on October 20th. We will be covering common questions international students have about sports as well as bringing in MSU athletes to talk about their experiences. You can register for the event at: http://oiss.isp.msu.edu/events/?id=43479
